My friend told me her dad just got a laser treatment to stop smoking, and he hasn't picked up a cigarette since the day he got it. My mom is very adamant about quitting and I think this is a really good option if it works. Shes tried all the gums, pills and patches and nothing has worked. I've seen advertisements for laser therapy that claims to stop physical cravings for cigarettes. It's pretty expensive but if it REALLY works, it would be worth it. I searched on the FDA website but couldn't find any studies or documentation relating to this type of therapy.

This conference with lazer treatment to stop smoking has been at the Sundial Inn in Orillia Ont. and at the Holiday Inn in Barrie.I cannot remember the name but I would like to find out who they are and where they will be. Here in Ohio (USA) its called Cold Laser. We have a few clinics but none that are mobile. Thought of trying it myself, nothing else works.
girl above me.....yea....those pills work only the first time you try them. to use them, stop and try again, they do nothing the 2nd time around. plus you have to have them dosed up high enough to work and like she said, it will give side effects. no sex drive, hand sweats, major anxiety, etc.
I used them and almost was done w/ smoking but got meningitis and had to get off the pills. pills didn't cause it, just a fluke of timing.
