I heard about a new vaccine that has been developed that stops the niccotine from reaching your brain. This prohibits the addiction to niccotine which is one of the main factors for with smokers and thier inablitiy to quit smoking. I say bring on the vaccine and stop the madness of smoking poisons that have taken the lives of so many. Check it out and give your opinion!
I am a smoker currently attempting to quit. I have not heard of this vaccine you speak of, however, there is a new medicine called Chantix that works great! It is very expensive though(300.00)without insurance. I was able to quit for 2months, but since I've been a smoker for 35yrs we decided I needed a longer dosage, so now I've been smoke free for 4months,well almost, I smoke 3-4 cigs a day, I can't seem to let those last ones go.

any dr. should be able to point in the direction that will be the best for you and be able to supply you the goods.
My Dr.s here say they heard that there was a Dr. in Tampa that can give you a shot called Niczax it's a Vaccine to stop smoking but none of the Dr. here know who it is, or where to go to get it. Is there a list of Dr. that show who gives that kind of shots and if so how do I get that list .I need to stop smoking now and I have tryed all the other stuff and they just don't work, can any body help me find where to go or even tell me what the stuff is, and what else's it is used for thanks for any help you can give me. I can't even get the name of the vaccine to come up on the comp. so I need to know what it is also, and what else is it used for. mybe that way I might know then what kind of Dr. to call

MONDAY, Oct. 12 (HealthDay News) -- The National Institute on Drug Abuse has given a $10 million grant to a Maryland company to help it in the final phases of research regarding a possible anti-nicotine vaccine.
Nabi Biopharmaceuticals of Rockville will launch a phase III study of a potential vaccine called NicVAX. The study, which could be the last step of research if the vaccine works, represents the most advanced investigation of a smoking-cessation vaccine.
The vaccine is designed to help people quit smoking and not relapse. According to a statement by institute director Dr. Nora D. Volkow, the vaccine has received "fast track" designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and has survived a successful "proof-of-concept" study.
