stop smoking magnet

I have family members who are interested to stop smoking. They heard of the zerosmoke magnet. I got onto the website and yeah, it is just details. Has anyone ever tried this out? Does it work?

LOL I don't think so. I have help people quit smoking over 4 years now. What it takes to quit smoking is wanting to quit and get a plan together and start changing your smoking habits by not smoking in certain places or just smoke in one place. Chantix works well for a lot of people so does all the other smoking aids. 20 minutes after your last smoke your lungs will begin to heal. You can quit if you really want to quit and all you have to do is say no. Find you a support group. That will help a lot and learn as much as you can about quitting smoking. A person may slip when they quit. But that is part of the learning process in quitting smoking. I have slip before. This last quit I won and I also defeated throat cancer all at the same time. So it is a proven fact quitting smoking can be done. By quitting smoking you will improve your health and may even save your own life. So never give up the thought about quitting smoking it sure can be done.

No. Unless the placebo effect is enough to help you do those things, tiny magnets placed in your ear or elsewhere won't alter anything. Think of it this way. The Earth is a huge magnet, you are surrounded by powerful magnetic fields. Will a magnet that is about 1/100th as strong have any effect at all?

It's a scam that plays on some good things in non-traditional medicine and Eastern cures but it's neither of those things, just a scam to prey on those seeking easy solutions to tough problems.

Hi I saw this in a magazine and it's a little magnet you put in your ear that is suppose to help you quit smoking in as little as 30 days.

I'm just curious if anybody has tried this and if it actually works?

I myself am sick of watching T.V. and seeing commercials about "natural male enhancement" "stop smoking magnets" and "eat anything you want and still loose weight" When is someone going to crack down on these outrageous claims being made? Can whatever agency that is in charge do anything about them?

My favorite of the worst is the one that says "if it wasn't true we couldn't say it on T.V." Oh yes they can, they just did!!! How stupid do they think we are? And if someone is in charge of keeping these people in line, they sure are doing a poor job.

Hey guys. just wanted to know if any of you have any previous history or experience with Auriculotherapy . The zero smoke website has the new magnets that go on your ear for 3-4 hours a day. They claim that your smoking addiction will be gone, but i'm wondering if its the same for other addictions, or if it's simply for smoking.

I don't mean like alcohol addiction, or weed addiction. I mean like pain pills, or sleeping pills...etc.

It's a magnet that goes on the ear, and I'm wondering if it is supposed to work for other things too.

Any ideas?

I don't know about the magnets, specifically but auriculotherapy generally means ear acupuncture, which I know something about. I would imagine that the magnets are a substitute for the needles.

Ear acupuncture is used for anti smoking therapy and it is commonly used to help people that are getting off of heroin. The idea is that it helps relax you and it does. It is wonderful for heroin addicts, but not used alone.

When you say pain pills, if you mean opiates, then it is the same theory. Auriculotherapy will help a lot along with medical treatment. Don't try to go all natural with this if you are addicted. The acupuncture would be especially helpful along with a clonodine (medication to lower your blood pressure) treatment for opiate addiction.

If you are talking about treatment for benzodiazapine or other types of pain pill addictions, I believe it would be helpful, again along with medical treatment. Certainly it can't hurt to do anything that is physically relaxing when you are going through a detox.

I really would recommend going with the real thing - use the needles. You can get free auriculotherapy in big city clinics and it really works. It doesn't hurt and it actually feels wonderful - I've tried it. The magnets sound iffy to me.
