stop smoking lozenges

Be the survivor of a major heart attack like my husband did and that ought to do it for you. My husband had smoked for years & I begged him to stop. How could I stress to our 5 children the dangers of smoking while their Dad puffed away. He tried to stop, he really did. He just wasn't man enough to put mind over matter. When he all but lost his life, he quit cold turkey, on his own, with no gimmicks.
He has been free for yrs. None of our 5 children or their spouses smoke. Thank God for helping me win that one.

My 32 yr. old nephew died 6 mo's. after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, as a direct result of smoking. It was a terribly painful death & very sad.

I bought the mint flavor accidentally and I HATE mint, but stores do not accept returns or exchanges of nicotine products. These cost a lot of money!!

If they're an over-the-counter drug, no prob...If they're a prescription preparation you could get in big trouble.

I havent smoked in a week (not exactly by choice though)
I had neck surgery....and was told that it would interfere with the healing if I smoke. Long story...blablablah...

Anyway, if I havent had nicotene in my system for over a week would it be a bad idea to start the lazanges now? Or should I just tough it out and leave the nicotene out of my system?

it takes 4 days for nicotine to leave your system. if you want to quit smoking, i say tough it out. mom is right though, chantix works. that's how i quit too!

I have just started to use two tablets a day and I finb that while I have the tablet in the mouth I do not have the urge to smoke.

I used niquitine 4mg lozenges to help me stop smoking. I'd been a smoker for more than 30 years and yes they work :)

You can be on them for at least 6 months before you start to gradually wean yourself off them.
