I'm supposed to take a drug test tomorrow for a job I applied for, but I smoke (Marlboro Smoothes) cigarettes, and I'm worried that my cigarette-smoking will affect the results of the drug test. Will the nicotine show up as a drug in the results of the test?
It's a forensic drug test done by Quest Diagnostics.
There are places who won't hire tobacco smokers, but they're a pretty dismal lot so you're best off working for someone else.
The test wouldn't show nicotine (it's only sparingly soluble in urine) but the liver breaks down nicotine to form a more soluble molecule called cotinine. Testing for cotinine is a doddle, although the result will only show that you had nicotine in your system, so if you're concerned that you're going to work for a bunch of spanners who object to you smoking off the job then put a nicotine patch on just before you get the results, so you can explain your elevated levels.
Cotinine is only a specific marker for having had nicotine in your system, I've never heard of it being mistaken for any other drug, and it isn't specific to smoked nicotine, just nicotine (which occurs in more than just tobacco (eggplant, potato and tomato are all relatively rich in it)).
Some EVAP leaks can be hard to find. But usually quot;largequot; leaks can be spotted pretty quick. Here#39;s the way I#39;ve been finding ...
The company I work for randomly does drug tests... although, i've never been tested, I would like to smoke once in a blue moon, so can I use synthetic urine to beat the test, if it's really random? is it something I can bring in to work everyday, just in case they decide to test?
Most current testing companies include sections in the legal jargon of the testing , something call "adulterants"
Adulterants by definition is anything that can and does skew the tests out of normal. this includes Synthetic urine.
I have some more bad news for you. Look at last years Tour de France. they cought at least three guys for a totally brand new kind of EPO(blood thickener) that wasn't even out on the market yet.! do you know why?
Because the Drug companies(even the ones that make synthetic urine!) are now starting to put Biological tags into their products(read this to mean "Big Brother")
I had someone tell me they tested positive in a drug drop because they were in the same room as someone that was smoking crack. I can't find any statistics on this anywhere.. anyone else have any ideas???
Possibly.If you think about it,you know how people that smoke weed,also gets high when they inhale it or breathe a lot?IMaybe they don't feel high,but will feel that the second hard smoke is affecting them.It all depends if the room is filled with smoke and how close the smoke was to your friend.I really think that it's possible but rare.They could of walked away or not breathe it.

In the UK trucks, buses , coaches with diesel engines have to pass an annual MOT smoke opacity test with a reading lower than 3m-1 to pass.
Do other countries make diesels take a smoke opacity test, and if so what is the limit they have to meet? Is it the same for all engines, or does it vary? Which organsiation carries out this test?
well with london.. theres a low emissions zone coming in.. ken has really s*****d a lot of people who can't afford a lot of companies who can't build a new fleet of low emission vehicles in time for next year..
e.g. tow trucks etc.. £200.. to go into town, you think customers will pay that?

I recently had to take a urine test my parents gave me after my parents caught me smoking pot. I know for a fact these were very sensative tests. What i was wondering was how, 2 days after smoking, the test came up comepletly negative. I'd also smoked 5 days before the test. I drink cranberry juice and exercise regularly anyway. I was just curious as to any explanations anyone had for the negative result.
it's all about how often you smoke. it you only smoke every now and then. i've seen it gone in as alittle as a day. (24 hours)
now if you smoke everyday for a month.. then expect it to take a few weeks to get clean.
