Is there anywhere i can get statistics on smokers in a state. or how many deaths there are daily in the us because of smoking??

Before I got pregnant I smoked like crazy! I'm 24 weeks along and I've tried quitting but it's just not happening. I now only smoke 1 or 2 cigarettes a day. Does it even matter to the amount you smoke and how often does it affect your unborn child? what are the statistics?

Statistics are different everywhere and aren't reliable.

My Dr. told me not to quit. Quitting causes stress and will harm the
baby. So I cut back to 5-7 a day. The result. 3 pregnancies, 3 big
and healthy babies. Between 8.11 lbs and 7.9 lbs. All because I listened to my Dr. His advice benefited my children.

There are 1.1 billion smokers in the world today, and if current trends continue, that number is expected to increase to 1.6 billion by the year 2025.

Worldwide, approximately 10 million cigarettes are purchased a minute, 15 billion are sold each day, and upwards of 5 trillion are produced and used on an annual basis.

It's estimated that trillions of filters, filled with toxic chemicals from tobacco smoke, make their way into our environment as discarded waste yearly.
