Smoking Law

I work in a governmental office and although smoking there is forbidden by law, no one seems to mind.
Is there anything to do against it, without losing my job?

That's very serious. They're endangering your health and they could start a fire. Make an anonymous report to your State Labor Bureau.

The voters of Ohio have passed a smoke free law. It outlaws all smoking in public places, bars, restaurants, bingo parlors, in front of business. I know that some neighborhood diners and bars may try not to comply with the law. If i go to use it and there are people smoking who do I call. Police, Board of Health?

They have until December 7th to be compliant. I know the Ohio Department of Health is handling this law.

I know its a federal law to buy for underage ppl but whats the state law for actually smoking?

Illegal. It is Illegal to smoke or buy for minors. I'm not too sure about possession when someone is underage though. I'm a Georgia resident.

I am from NY and I currently go to college in Ohio

I am used to no smoking in bars, clubs, resturants. No smoking anywhere, they even rope off what sections you can smoke when your OUTSIDE, at theme parks. In my mind it's the greatest law ever because smoking in a smoking section in a resturant is like peeing in a pool.

What law ended up getting passed in the state of Ohio?

Can people still smoke in resturant and bars?

No smoking in bars or restaurants, and other places too. I voted for Issue 5 and helped it pass. I agree it is an excellent law. Takes effect 30 days from passage.

The state I live in passed a smoking law where you can't smoke in resturaunts or bars and clubs? I myself im a smoker and I agree with the resturaunts somewhat. I feel in a bar or club smoking and drinking usually go hand in hand so I don't agree with that law. Was just wandering how others feel about this law.

I agree that smoking should not be excluded from the bars and clubs. I hear in Ca. they are talking about making it illegal to smoke in any public place (sidewalks, parks, etc..). I guess next they will make the purchase of cigarettes illegal.
