Does the buzz you get from smoking cigarettes feel like the buzz you get from drinking alcohol?
No. When your old enough to drink....or smoke, you will discover the difference.
quot;Smoking Cigarettesquot; Why, oh why Gave you several years of my life And it just ain#39;t right What#39;s your perception of love Now ...
Since I can remember, I've had dreams off and on with me smoking in them. I've never smoked in my life, but in my dreams, I can vividly taste the cigarette and smoke and something tells me that I've done it before when I wake up, although I know I never have.
Recently, every dream I've had has included smoking cigarettes. They also commonly depict me traveling or running away from family. Any clues as to what this may mean?
Ooh, you're a rebellious one! You're struggling for independence and control in your life, and something seems to be keeping you back. It's like you're on a treadmill, and you're subconsciously frustrated and angry about your inability to obtain your goal. As a result, a part of you has gotten very rebellious. You're dreaming about doing things you perceive as somehow wrong or naughty. You smoke cigarettes. You run away from your family. It's like your mind is saying: "Look at me now! Look at what I can do!" This probably gives you a subconscious thrill, and, as a result, you dream about it more often than mundane, everyday stimuli that aren't exciting. Rebellious dreams often include sexual content as well; so if you start having dreams like that, remember that it's a normal part of breaking free from constraints.
My advice is just to hang in there. Independence is something we all strive for. Try to appreciate the little successes you have everyday. Feel proud of the things you can do on your own and the problems you can solve without help. And don't worry about smoking in your dream. It doesn't mean you're going to do it in real life. It just means your working out some frustration.
I've been smoking cigarettes when drinking for the past year. I will have from one cig to waking up and having no cigs left. I will occasionally smoke a cig when sober to relieve stress or to be social. Whats the best way to limit yourself from any cigarettes when you are drinking? Lately I've been trying to not smoke at all when drinking, but have been getting cravings. No haters please. Thank you in advance.
I am trying to quit smoking too and I found out everytime I have a drink I NEED a cigg. So I am giving up drinking till I can give up smoking.
I only just started smoking cigarettes maybe 2-3 weeks ago, but every time I do, I always feel like I have to go to the bathroom after, or end up doing so. Is that normal?
Nicotine is a stimulant to your bowels. Get of the cigs while you can. Believe me its not cool and they make you feel bad.
I am 23 never smoked cigarettes, all my friends smoke i recentley decided to try to smoke to see what it is about cigarettes it is that they like. After smoking two cigarettes i felt nauseous and Dizzy and could not stop coughing? how do people start smoking with side effects like these to get addicted?
It starts out as a social misnomer. People who are going through problems or are reaching out to others for help often start smoking because they know it is wrong and they are trying to invoke a response from another party who does not approve as a way of open rebellion.
Others light up in the beginning because of peer pressure or because they think it will make them look cool. The body responds the way it does to smoking in the beginning because it is telling you that you are poisoning your body, but like any substance abuse, the body eventually develops a defense mechanism against the initial coughing or other negative reaction by literally changing the cell structures in the epithelial cells lining the airways leading to your lungs. The nicotine, and other addictive chemicals, that the tobacco companies enhance into their product also guarantee a dependence on the drug will follow with consecutive and consistent smoking as time progresses.
So the quick and simple answer to your question is most likely social and/or emotional problems. Personally, I have a very biased and negative opinion toward alcoholics and smokers because only a weak-minded person cannot handle the stresses and problems in their lives without going to a bottle or lighting up. It's a cop out and pathetic that people don't step up and be responsible adults and deal with their problems head on rather than depending on a drug as a constant and temporary way of escaping the reality of any given situation.
