How can this injection stop cravings for cigarettes?
I haven't heard of this - it must be a new thing to pull in more money since they (tobacco manufacturers) are loosing the war against quiters.

My friend heard that there is a shot to help you quit, she has to have surgery soon and cannot be smoking, she is not allowed to use the patches or gum, and needs help! If anybody knows anything about this shot, please let me know! thanks

I'm getting the shot on the 8th of Feb. I was just wondering if anyone else has had it. I've heard some weird things, like one couple sold their business and home and decided to live under a bridge and eat beans out of a can. But I've also heard positive things. So I was just wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge about it
yep given up twice now, last time lasted 18 months, so not such a great result, if you want to give up fantastic i would support if i could, as for weird things only way to put it is absolute crap, if anything you will have a craving for awhile could last a month if you can get over that you are nearly home, some say food tastes better and you can smell better i didn't notice any change myself, , at least you will have more money in your pocket at the end of the week, ,just persevere you will get there in the end ....

I just asked the same question but not getting many answers with that headline question. Need to know anything about it, cost, what is in it, is it worth the money, side effects. Any help would be appreciated.
There is a shot called NicVax. It costs between $350-$500. I'm researching it myself now and looking for where I can find it at. I don't know what is in it but you should be able to look that name up and find more about it. I know it is aggravating to hear all these people say just quit, it isn't that easy for everyone and I wish you luck with your search on this.

The nicotine replacement therapy stops a person from smoking by providing him with the dose of nicotine he needs to get through the day. Although this therapy is very effective in reducing withdrawal symptoms, it is not recommended to be the only method for quitting cigarette smoking because people tend to become dependent on it. Fortunately, with the new innovations of medical technology, we now have other aids, such as stop smoking shots and pills that can wean people from their nicotine addiction. The stop smoking shot can make it easier for smokers to kick the habit. In order to stop a person from looking for the desired effects of nicotine, this stop smoking shot prevents the nicotine from entering the brain where it usually works as a stimulant.
