i'm 17 years old and i have been smoking about half a pack of cigarrettes a day for about 6 months now. yesterday i had an incident and i sat and smoked an entire pack of cigarrettes from start to finish (and had probably about a full pack spread out throughout the day...maybe less). is there such a thing as a nicotine overdose? and if so, what are the symptoms? also, does anyone know how much nicotine it takes to consume for you to suffer of an overdose?
There is no such thing as a "nicotine overdose." The effects you may experience, such as dizziness and nausea, are only caused because your body isn't used to the drug in that quantity. But after a little bit, the effects wear off, and you'll be fine.

I am taking the patch, and the cautions are I can get a nicotine overdose if I was to smoke while on the patch. Im just curious if its true.
there is a such thing as a nicotine overdose, I don't think smoking while you are on the patch could cause it but it is possible if you smoke a lot or wore more than one patch.
you can definitely die from a nicotine overdose--nicotine is also a pesticide and in many pesticides so that is why you keep them locked in case children get ahold of them.
Saw an episode of CSI or one of those crime shows the other day where a woman killed a guy with a nicotine overdose and they were thinking another woman did it with several patches but what the woman actually did was put some pesticide that was 50% nicotine in a condom and well nevermind.
But I am not basing this entirely on the show...I learned it at school...

I'm guessing (never had a nicotine overdose in my exp) probably benzodiazapines/barbiturates/phenyotin for seizures would be a good idea, and perhaps a depolarizing paralytic agent for the probable strong muscle contractions and cramping, along with full anesthesia at this point and mechanical ventilation.
as I said, I never seen one, I am treating it along the lines of VX or G series chemical weapons, which also derive their toxic action from acting in a cholinergic manner. (albeit though a much different mechanism, but the treatment/symptoms would be similar)
if you mean "I just smoked/chewed too much tobacco and feel like crap" and want to feel better, try taking a heavy (but within in the limits on the package) dosage of antihistamine such as diphenhydramine, doxylamine, promethazine. They will partly block the acetylcholine action that is making you feel like crap.
Wanting opinions to what form of suicide I should take: Long - drop hanging, or a lethal nicotine overdose.
And no, I don't want to hear about how Jesus can save me; counselling; past experiences; anti-depressants, and such - I just want relevant opinions.
Please don't give up. Even though you think you cannot feel better, the truth is, the intensity of your feelings will subside. It will take a while for you to feel better. Has anybody heard of someone dying from a nicotine overdose? My cousin recently passed away, and it was supposedly from a nicotine overdose. He didn't even smoke ciggarettes that much. I think it is a bunch of bullshit, but I could be wrong.
You can have a severe reaction to too much nicotine in your body.
I tried to quit smoking and used patches, but alas, I continued to smoke while wearing a patch, and had a bad reaction, But, if your
cousin did not smoke, I would wonder where that amount of nicotine was able to be found in his body. I don't know of any other source that would deliver any amount of nicotine to a body.
