I've supposed to quit smoking for months, due to an up-coming operation, can anyone tell me how long it takes the nicotine to get out of my system, or anyway to get it out quickly, besides not smoking...it's very imperative I get this out of my system as quickly as possible, even if I have withdrawals..anyone have any idea, how long, or anything to get it where it won't show up in my system, thanks..
30 seconds at the maximum to get in your system and depending how many years you have smoked e.g Chronic smoker for more than 20 years will take about 10 years to refresh your system.
BUT IT IS NEVER TOO LATE.

Is there any way to get icotine out of your system for a drug test?
None that work. Nicotine and its major metabolite cotinine are detectable for up to 3 days in the urine after a SINGLE use. In some instances cotinine can be detected in chronic smokers for weeks after last use. There are many products sold to "cleanse" the body and the urine, but "buyer beware." They supposedly increase urine pH which actually lowers nicotine presence, but does nothing to alter the metabolite cotinine, which is what most tests look for. Bottom line, to pass the test, you must be tobacco free at least 3 to 7 days for most urine tests.
Use Nic-Out untill you quit
Removes over 90% of the tar and reduces nicotine
Does not affect taste of cigarette
After 2 months maybe I'll need to have some blood tests because I may get a scholarship, and during these last months I've been smoking cigarettes and I need to know that if I quit smoking now, how long does it take for the nicotine and other stuff to get out of my system so the analysis won't show that I've smoke cigarettes
Honestly, It may be able to leave your system, by your kidneys cleansing it, but it will stay in your lungs. If you smoked for 1 month or more then it is problably stuck on your lungs. One of the many problems with smoking.
System includes two contoured mouthpieces and one metal filter
Most effective TarGard system; cleanable, reusable and economical
Does not change flavor of cigarette
If so, what are some good detoxing methods, that I can do that are natural?
No. Nicotine actually effects the brain and not the blood. You can reduce the amount of nicotine from your body but you are going to still have the same cravings for it as if you didn't detox. Your brain is still looking for the nicotine. You should try smoking less and less and then giving it up then or using something like a patch. Those are made to reduce the amount of nicotine in your system to the point where your body learns to cope without it with less severe side effects. Some people swear by cold turkey but the side effects are much worse.
Its really frustrating when you have to take an insurance test and your trying to quit but since your on the patch you stil have the nicotine in your system.. just not fair... need to help a friend out so if you have any information it would be really really appreciated.
i believe you may be able to show them or prove to them that you are using the patch they may work with you on it...but it depends on the company

Smoking Gene » Scienceline
There are a lot of ways to quit smoking: patches, gums, lozenges, inhalers, prescription pills, self-help books and many more. The proliferation of these products illustrates the simple truth that it’s very tough to quit. Smokers rarely succeed on their first try, and fewer than one-third are ever able to give up cigarettes using these available methods.
With such a low success rate, how would a smoker know which one would work the best? The answer might be in their genes.
Bupropion (marketed under the name Zyban), a popular drug prescribed to help patients quit smoking, has been shown to be more effective in people that possess certain “smoking genes,” according to a study published late last year in the journal .
