Im getting drug tested in 4 days. My last cig was exactly two weeks ago and and my last one before that I cant even remember. I really really really want one right now and I've done many searches and they all turned up 72 hours or 2-4 days. But Im not sure if I should risk it.
Since when do they test for nicotine? Is this for school or something? If it is a drug test for a job, nicotine should not be a part of that. Smoking is a legal substance. I think you're rights would be violated if they did that.

I just quit smoking a little over a week ago, and yesterday I was diagnosed with a sinus infection, and prescribed Amoxil. I've been taking the antibiotic like I should, as well as Tylenol Severe Sinus for congestion & drainage. I'm feeling a bit better than I was earlier today, but I keep getting this weird feeling in my lungs, like they itch. I've searched it but everything seems to say it's either asthma or pneumonia, but I don't have shortness of breath or fever, so I know those aren't the causes. I was just wondering, maybe is this a result of nicotine detox & drainage?
When you quit smoking, the accumulated "stuff" in your lungs starts to come loose. Some people find hey will cough up a little of it. This is normal and is likely the source of your itching (although some people will get itching from sinus medicine).
The sinus infection is probably coincidence.
Nicotine withdrawal can make lots of things feel weird for a little bit, but will pass in a couple of weeks.
In case you've never quit before...take it from me and resist the temptation to "just have one". Most anyone that does goes right back to smoking if they smoke at all.
Good luck. The hardest part of nicotine withdrawal is over !!!!
Short answer?
1. Stay off nicotine - there are plenty of methods to stop the addiction, but pick one.
2. Fill your system with good stuff: clear air and healthy food. Do this by taking deep breaths and exhaling completely, and eating only healthy foods (including snacks) for at least a week.
3. Get plenty of vitamin C, which is supposed to specifically help you rid yourself of nicotine. Take some vitamin C tablets and/or foods with vitamin C. As with any vitamin, don't overdose.
what are the side effects?
12 weeks, I have recently quit using patches and it took the whole 12 weeks but the experts say it takes 16 weeks for the nicotine to leave your body completely. Side affects for me were vivid dreams and hot flushes & sweats. Its now been 26 weeks and my cravings have gone completely and i feel sooooo much better.

Nicotine Detox Symptoms - Quit Smoking Habits Through Hypnotherapy!
Quit Smoking Habits Through Hypnotherapy! Smoking is a habit that dies hard for most individuals because they take up the habit of smoking for various reasons. Some just start smoking as a show off and in the long run they get addicted to the nicotine and cannot say no to smoking. It becomes difficult for individuals to consider stopping smoking as it takes a good deal of their will power to achieve the process. It may have occurred to you that you can stop it over a small gap, but get lured to the habit once again if you find an opportunity. It is essential that the therapist treat you under you subconscious mind as under such situations you are vulnerable to listen to what you are told....
