Clean nicotine and cociane out of bloodstream?
Female Smoker with gloves 123

I'm taking a drug test in 7 days and i need something that i can take that will make the nicotine and cocaine out of my bloodstream and urine... PLEASE HELP!

If your doing it for health insurance, don't bother. That is the only thing i can think of that that tests for nicotine. If something happens down the road it will show up on the test your coverage will be voided and you will have paid monthly premiums for nothing and still be stuck with the bills.
If your taking a nicotine test because your underage AND your worried about cocaine showing up... you have bigger problems than this test.

The coke will be out of your system by then. If its nicotine from smoking, there is no way to fool it. If i remember correctly they base that of the CO2 you exhale and there is no way around it. Sorry. If its from dipping, it takes about 48 hours to clear your system.

How long does nicotine stay in the bloodstream?

I have a blood test tomorrow at 4:00 PM and smoked a cigarette yesterday at about 7:30 PM. Will there be nicotine in my system? I only had one, and I smoke sparingly since I "quit" about 3 weeks ago.

Nicotine has a half life of about 2 hours. That means it will take 2 hours for half of it to go away. For example, let's say you had 100 mg of nicotine in your blood. Two hours after the nicotine was put into your body, you will have 50 mg left. After another 2 hours, you'll have 25 mg left. Another 2 hours, it will be down to 12.5 mg. Etc etc. So no, it shouldn't be in the bloodstream tomorrow.

Does anyone know how long nicotine stays in your bloodstream?

I need to apply for my own health insurance and stupidly smoked 5 or 6 cigarrettes this weekend while on a "wild night out". I don't want that to affect my rates.
I need to know if they check it on a blood test in a few weeks if it would come up. (I won't smoke again and this was this weekend.) I know, I'm probably being paranoid! A lab person with an insurance company should answer this one. ; )

Nicotine is a very unstable drug. When a person uses tobacco (whether in cigarettes or in skoal), the body immediately breaks nicotine down into about 97 different metabolites, the most stable of which is cotinine. Cotinine stays in a person's system for a period of 2 to 4 days.

There are a number of factors that can affect these figures, including:

• the strength of the tobacco
• the quantity you used
• the frequency of your use
• your individual tolerance
• the presence of other drugs

Factors specific to you which will also affect its elimination include:

• your tolerance
• your sex and age
• your overall health & well-being
• your general metabolic state

These variables all interact to make it hard to accurately define a time when the nicotine will be out of your system.

How long does it take for nicotine to leave your bloodstream in order to pass a medical exam?

Nicotine doesn't stick around your body for too long. It has a half-life of about 60 minutes, meaning that six hours after a cigarette, only about 0.031 mg of the 1 mg of nicotine you inhaled remains in your body.

How does your body get rid of nicotine? Here's the process:

About 80 percent of nicotine is broken down to cotinine by enzymes in your liver.

Nicotine is also metabolized in your lungs to cotinine and nicotine oxide.

Cotinine and other metabolites are excreted in your urine. Cotinine has a 24-hour half-life, so you can test whether or not someone has been smoking in the past day or two by screening his or her urine for cotinine.

The remaining nicotine is filtered from the blood by your kidneys and excreted in the urine.

Tearing Down the Wall - Thoughts - Understanding Dependency, Its ...

The final phase of nicotine dependency recovery is in either allowing sufficient time to pass so that thoughts of wanting to smoke -- reflecting the mountain of denial garbage we constantly fed ourselves over the years -- gradually fade away and stop haunting and replaying over and over in the mind, or accelerating the process by seeing the arrival of each as a golden opportunity to set the record straight.

Imagine residing inside a mind chemically dependent upon a substance that addiction experts contend may possibly be the most captivating of all. Although it isn't likely that any of us then knew or realized that our brain had physically grown millions upon millions of extra acetylcholine receptors, that it had de-sensitized select critical brain pathways from an endless onslaught of nicotine, or that nicotine was in command and control over the flow of more than 200 of our body's neurochemicals, we didn't't need to know the details.
