Saliva Drug Test

I was curious as to how drug tests administered by urine and saliva test the fat cell content to see if someone has used marijuana? Wouldn't you need a hair or blood test to see if someone has used marijuana because it stores in the fat cells?

How long then can a urine and/or saliva test to see how long ago someone has smoked marijuana?

First, drug tests do not test "fat", they show the presence of either a metabolized drug or the drug itself. Second, yes metabolized thc is stored in the fat cells and as those fat cells are used up by the body the metabolized THC is released.

I've gotten a lotta different answers but I get drug tested randomly-monthly for school and I just wanted to know how long before school I need to stop. Like 1 or 2 weeks?? I heard saliva tests have a really short detection time. Please help.

Actually the saliva testing is one of the most effective and easy ways to determine when, and how long ago you have used marijuanna.

If you are randomly tested for drugs, why would you risk getting punished so severly? Just quit using and enjoy a good life at school.

I had to take a saliva drug test at work today, July 9, and I smoked four days ago on July 4. I didn't know about the test ahead of time, so I didn't do anything to prepare for it. I brush my teeth twice a day, and I did the morning before the test, but is that enough?
I've googled it, and everything I found said the detox period for marijana in saliva tests was between 24-72 hours.

You should be good. It doesn't last very long in Saliva. Its very unlikely you will have trouble, but you could only if you are a very heavy user and smoke a lot everyday. good luck man.

i am a newish pot smoker, and realized i have a drug test for my new empolyer that is coming up within the next week. Im ready for a urine test, but what do i do if im offered a saliva test? what are some tips that i can take to pass it? does anyone know? (I had a saliva test for my last job, and luckily it wasnt in my system)

The THC stays in your saliva for 12-24 hours. So if you are ready for a urine test, then you are more than ready for a saliva test.

I have a saliva drug test tomarrow for my new job and I need to know how I can pass. I drank 13 big glasses of water and pissed 14 times. I heard the saliva drug test is to test on the spot drug testing and its in your saliva for 14hrs. I smoked half a bowl (4 tokes of the bowl) I rarely smoke ever. I smoked more than 24 hrs ago.
Will I pass this drug test?

Drinking water won't help a saliva test.

If you did it more than 24 hours ago, you should be okay. If it's a urine test though, you're out of luck.
