Marijuana Drug Testing

My doctor gave me a sheet to get a blood test (hepatitis B) and he circled 3 chemicals or things to search for in the blood test. what is it for marijuana because it doesnt say thc' or weed or anything.

maybe its the non abbreviated word for thc....i think its tetro- hydro chloride

I live in Massachusetts where where the possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana is now just considered a civil violation. Does that mean that I won't have to worry about marijuana in my system when I go in for a drug test for employment, or will they still be testing for it?

No it merely means it is not a major crime to have it in your possession. Use will often be tested for because many employers do not want someone who is high while at work. You will still have plenty of reason to worry about having it in your system.

Niacin is a vitamin, one of the D's. It can work for some people to mask marijuana in a drug test, but i wouldn't rely on it. The chemical tested for is stored in your fat cells after you smoke and is slowly released as you burn fat. If you really need to pass a drug test, the best thing to do is exercise as much as possible until a few days before. Then on the day before and the day of you need to be a total bum and do absolutely nothing. Therefore less fat is burned and less of the drug in your piss. Also drink a hell of a lot of water in those 2 days to flush out whatever is currently in your system.

I took a marijuana test at home the day before a potential drug test and one the same day of the drug test. They both came out negative (on both i got a faint pink line, but there was a line) but I am still very paranoid and I don't know if they use the same kind of test. I guess what I want to know is that if the home test proves to be negative will the medical one be negative too?

Yes, they test for the same contaminate levels...
to pass either, nothing really works but water... Start drinking water 3 hours prior to the test (coffee does help too - it sucks out the contaminated liquids as it dehydrates you) . No need to start 'flushing' earlier than that.
Pee as much as you can before the test (if you drink plenty of water that will NOT be a problem ;) Take a Vitamin B complex 1000% RDA (any grocery or drug store has them) to color your pee yellow. I promise you will pass a Urine test.
You would probably pass a blood test at what you have smoked. A hair test is COMPLETELY different story - not easy to pass regardless - best you can do is wash your hair WELL, maybe get a haircut (that is not a solution, but if you were a heavy smoker in the past it can't hurt ;).

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine.

As for all these people that say they are in the drug/alcohol testing labs... ignore them.. they don't ever know who has smoked and passed... how could they!! :) They just know the propaganda... and all the internet and GNC 'special' product are USELESS and just take your money...

Help! I havent smoked in 13 days. But im getting tested tomorrow :/ Does anyone know if it works? or if its pointless.

No it has never been proven to work.
The good news is that if you're not a regular marijuana smoker marijuana leaves you system in 2 to 14 days. However if you smoke regularly it will take about a month to leave your system.

Some tips:
The first time you go to the bathroom in morning is the most potent, so make sure you've already gone before your drug test.

I've heard that the begining and end of the stream are the most potent so try and catch the urine from the middle of the stream.

Also drink plenty of water before the test, this will further dilute your urine. But don't listen to anyone who tells you to drink 2 gallons the day before all that does is dillute your urine the day before the test not during the test and that much water could possibly red flag you as having diluted your urine a glass or two is fine.
