I want to give my boyfriend a home drug test, but I'm worried that if he drinks alcohol before I give him the test that the drugs won't show up. Does alcohol dilute your urine enough to make a test inconclusive or cover up drugs like cocaine or opiates?

Urine tests are the devil, first of all, becuase they're only used to prove you don't trust other people, and they don't f'ing work. They only tell you if the person is doing certain drugs, and within a certain span of time. If your boyfriends supposed drug use is so minimal that you need a drug test to prove he's using, he doesn't have a PROBLEM, and i would advise you against it, mainly becase of the trust factor. I'm a teenager who's been drug tested by my parents, and i lost a lot of respect for them. But i guess i shouldn't say becuase i don;t know what your situation is. Just a thought.

But to answer your question, i don't think alchohol specifically will help him pass. the way to cheat a drug test is to drink so much liquid that your piss is white and not acidic enough to show up, so you can tell by the color. Most ppl drink water and cranberry juice to pass drug tests- not alcohol. If he knows your gonna test him, you can also by detox online that will clean your system out right away. Detox makes your skin blotchy and itchy sometimes though, so maybe you could tell.

Okay My mom was telling me that shes going to test me random one day I come home late with some swab in the mouth test for alcohol or drugs idk. Im pretty sure its alcohol but then im pretty sure that dosent exist cause an easy water bottle can make my mouth inside feel like 100% water ya know what I mean? And as far as the drugs idc I don't do any drugs other then drink so it dosent matter to me.

Depending on what state you are in, they do sell over the counter drug tests and breathalyzers. They are pretty expensive though.

we are home 24/7 no drinking was done how could he fail a urine test it said his level was only .04 percent thats from a urine test passed all breathalizers so it doesnt make sense can osme one explain

i took a pregnancy test the other day but i was drinking before i took it so i was wondering if it would have a false reading. the test said no but i wasn't sure. can drinking alcohol give a home pregnancy test a false reading?

If you were drinking large quantities of alcohol, it's possible your urine was dilute and this can give a false negative result. The best time to test is using first thing in the morning, without drinking alcohol or excessive fluids the night before. Alcohol in itself won't affect the hormone which is picked up by a pregnancy test, but it's probably safest to lay off the drinking until you're absolutely sure you're not pregnant.
