Drug Test Lab

Just a question not looking for lectures or obvious "don't do drug" answers. People do drugs daily. Every hour and every minute. So as there are people that do drugs, there are people that make a living hiding them. Champion Dextox as far as I know, doesn't CLEAN OUT your system.. more so just masks it for 5 or so hours. But can it show up in a lab test?

no they cant. if they can it doesnt matter as long as they dont detect drugs ur ok. nobody can say "omg i found no drugs but traces of detox drink so u must have done drugs." at least no employer/school/police

its a simple yes or no answer i dont smke pot im just trying to get facts for a friend...and remeber its a lab drug test not one of those cheap home test....and please be 1000% positive that what you are telling me is true and u kno it works for a fact

It's not a yes OR no answer, but rather a yes AND no answer.

Yes, drinking lots of fluids will dilute the urine, and thus the concentration of the thc metabolites in the urine. The thc metabolites will still be present, but it is possible to dilute them enough to be below the sensitivity of the test, giving a passing result. The longer the time since last smoked, the better the chances of being able to dilute.

No, this doesn't always work. You may be able to dilute the concentration of the thc metabolites in the urine below the threshold levels. But, this will also dilute the urine itself, thus diluting the creatinine levels and the specific gravity. Labs will perform a validity test on the sample before testing it for the presence of thc metabolites. If creatinine levels or specific gravity are too low, then the result will come back as a diluted sample. Typically, this is interpreted as a failure.

Counter measures to the validity test include taking creatine supplements 3-4 days prior to the test. Your body takes a few days to metabolize creatine into the tested creatinine. Eating lots of red meat will also work, as this has high levels of creatine in it.

Drinking a sport drink such as gatorade instead of water will help with specific gravity. Taking a tablespoon of salt a few hours prior to the test will also help here. Nasty to swallow, but it will raise the specific gravity of the sample.

Also, pure aspirin has been shown to interfere with the sensitivity of the immunassay test. It won't help with heavy or chronic smokers, but it will help with the casual user. I'm not talking Advil or Tylenol, but pure aspirin.

When giving the sample, never give the beginning or the ending of the stream, as this is always the dirtiest. Always give from mid stream. The mornings are also the dirtiest time, so try to schedule in the afternoon and urinate as often as possible during the day.

i have a drug test coming up to get a job. i've taken suboxone to get myself off other opiates that i want to get out of my life. now i know it doesn't show up on 5 panel instant urine tests and that they have to be specifically tested for but will it show up in a lab when they test me to get a job? and i'm not going for a big job either.

most likely not, most jobs only send you to a lab because they dont want to do the work themselves but it is the same test you see in the pharmacy.

I smoked marijuana about a week ago and can pass a home test.. When i take a test at the lab, will i get the same result?

I got a new job and they wanted me to take a drug test.. I smoked weed for the first time 3 weeks ago and only took 2 hits.. Im so paranoid that i went out and bought an at home test yesterday and i took it and i passed.. I just went today to the lab and took one there... Will i also pass that one? is it that much different from the store one? If i smoke for the first time how long does it stay in my system??

How long it takes to leave your system depends on how much you smoke. But the time maxes out at around 45 days. One smoking session for someone with a clean system takes about 3-4 days to be clean. Smoke 2 days later and then have to wait about a week, and so on. The time it will take roughly doubles every time you smoke until it maxes at about 45 days to be clean. So if you are maxed out and you wait about 2 weeks and then smoke again, you're basically back to 45 days. This also depends on the test. Most job drug tests only test down to about 100 nanograms, which isn't dead accurate but will pick up if you are a smoker obviously. Court-appointed tests can test anywhere down to 10-20 nanograms, which is very accurate, and can also detect high levels of water, and any other drug test liquids. You can not fool those tests, and drinking water and tea does nothing for getting weed out of your system at all. The ONLY way to get it out is time, because it is in your blood. Drug tests that test hair usually detect it, even if it has been in your system for a while.
