Drug Test Blood

I have a job interview and I wanted to know if I had right to refuse a blood test (I am scared to death of needles, and last time I got blood drawn I nearly fainted and vomited) and opt for a urine (or other) drug test? It's not a government job, it's an electronics store. Is a urine or mouth-swab test a lot more common than a blood test?

They are not going to make you take a blood test. First of all, that's more expensive.
You'll more than likely get cotton swab or urine. I know for one job they took a hair sample from us.

I think I am getting a blood drug test done for a job next week I have had a clean system until last night I smoked weed. Are blood test more sensitive than urine is there anyway to clean out my system?

While THC can remain in your system for up to one month, a small amount probably will not. This will depend on your body's fat content. Ideally, you should try to exercise constantly to burn up as much of this as you can. You'll want to stop exercising about 2 days before the test and eat lots of fatty food. This new fatty food will hopefully be the fat your body will burn rather than the fat that has THC stored in it. Keep drinking lots of fluids, especially cranberry juice. Yes, blood drug tests are highly sensitive, and there is no way to guarantee you won't get caught.

I would actually be surprised if you are getting a blood test, as they are much more expensive. Even urine tests can be highly effective depending on the method they use to check. Simple positive/negative kits aren't worth much, but when urine is analyzed on multi-million dollar instruments (which most of them are), drugs can be detected in ridiculously small amounts.

On a side note, drug tests don't test for all "drugs". The company that wants the results has to specify what drugs they are looking for. Tests typically include the 5 or 7 most commonly abused drugs, which almost always includes THC, and can also include, cocaine, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, and more. If a test is determined positive for amphetamines, they can then determine via thin layer chromatography exactly what amphetamines are in the system (amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDA, MDMA, etc). It's somewhat humorous that the least harmful drug (Marijuana) can sometimes be detected for up to a month, where harder drugs like ecstasy and cocaine can only be detected for a couple of days. Some drugs, like psilocybin from "magic mushrooms" can't be detected at all.

I just took my oral drug test about 15 minutes ago while taking the test the applicator swab cut the inside of my mouth were there was a canker sore. Blood got on the swab. Will this doom me from passing the test. I haven't smoked in almost a week. I swished mouthwash and water before i went in the store. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

If it's only been a week and you think you're in the clear, you're pretty undereducated on how testing works. Go do some reading.

I have to pass a blood drug test...in about 6 weeks...last smoked in the last 2 days...do I have a chance?

Most likely you will pass as long as you don't do it until after the test in 6 weeks. It also depends on your body weight, the bigger you are the longer it stays in your system. Just drink a lot of water also. Good Luck!

I know all sorts of tricks for urine tests, like peeing in the toilet a little and then peeing in the cup but finish in the toilet also. and drink water right before...

but I know absolutely nothing about blood tests and I cant find much. I dont need to here people go on about how drugs are dumb I've heard it all and I only want genuine help.

There isn't much you can do to fool a blood test for drugs since you won't have any control over the collected blood.

One thing we do know is that THC is fat-soluable so between now and the blood test, don't loose any weight or do any hard exercise or anything else that could break down fat cells and increase blood levels of THC. Don't smoke between now and then either.
