Blood Test Marijuana

I was just curious how long I should wait to be ABSOLUTELY safe before taking a blood test for marijuana for a new job offer I just received...I hadn't smoked in over 2 years and about a month ago at a party I took like 2 or 3 hits. I know that marijuana is detected for a longer period of time by blood tests, but I'm just wondering exactly how long? I've heard 6 months from some people, but is that ONLY if you do it frequently? Thanks.

Depends on how chronic a smoker you are. If you smoke everyday then stop for a test it will be in your system for about 30 days. If you are not a chronic smoker and only smoke a few times a week, then stop for a test, its probably a good idea to say no more than 20 days, and if you smoke 1 a week or 2 a week, then its probably out of your system in a few days. Go to a drug store and buy a test kit for like $15. You can check yourself if you will pass, before going to your real test. Then you should stop for good.

Traces of THC can be detected by standard urine and blood tests for about 2 days up to 11 weeks depending on the persons metabolism, how much they smoked and how long they smoked. THC can be detected for the life of the hair. Again, the sensitivity of the test ranges from person from to person depending on many factors including the amount of body fat, differences in metabolism, and how long and how much they smoked.

i have a blood test in 6 days and i smoked 3 days ago.
what will happen if theres marijuana in my system?

it really depends on who is giving it and where you live because if its just like a blood test by your parents then so what they give u a little crap for a second and then its over. if its from your school you may get in trouble depending what kind of school and what state your in. if its by your employer, you probably will get fired.

My friend is getting a blood test taken for his new job. He has definteily smoked marijuana in the past couple weeks and its definitelly still in his system. I know some ways to pass a urine test, but not a blood test.....anyone know any ways?

I agree with your other answerers... passing the blood test is not going to happen.

My suggestion is that your friend be straight up with the new employer and tell them - "I really appreciate you extending the opportunity of employment to me, I do want to work for your company... however, I must apologize that I will not be able to accept the offer as I will not be able to pass the drug screening at this time."

I know it sounds gutsy - but I promise you that an employer will respect that. And, it's better than giving them some lame excuse that they'll probably see through and not hire you for later. In addition, if you are highly qualified for a job and they really like you, they may hire you on a contingency basis until you can pass the drug test. Honesty is the best policy my friend :)

I doubt that a test for marijuana will be included in your pre-op test.

HOWEVER.


Your doctor should be aware of every drug you take anyway especially before an operation.
