I have a friend who is now on probabtion, part of his probation stipulations is no alcohol consumption, accompaning random alcohol testing. Is there anyway to rid your system of alcohol so that it is undetectable by a breathalizer or urine test? I know that this is a dumb question, I had to ask however.

Don't drink alcohol. It's as simple as that.

Let's say I go out and party on Friday or Saturday and have a few shots and 2 beers and then drink plenty of water Sunday, and then take a urine test on Monday...can anything be detected?
With some urine alcohol tests, alcohol can be detected up to around 48 hours after a person has ingested alcohol. With the EtG Urine Alcohol Test, however the presence of EtG in the urine demonstrates that ethanol alcohol was ingested within the past 3 or 4 days, or roughly 80 hours after the ethanol alcohol has been metabolized by the body. As a result, it can be determined that a urine alcohol test employing EtG is a more accurate indicator of the recent consumption of alcohol as opposed to simply measuring for the existence of ethanol alcohol (as is done many other urine alcohol tests).
Let's use one of the above examples to further illustrate the ramifications of the EtG Urine Alcohol Test. As stated above, a person with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 will have no measurable alcohol in his or her bloodstream ten hours after the last drink. With the EtG Urine Alcohol Test, however, the presence of EtG in the urine reveals that ethanol alcohol was consumed within the past 80 hours or so which could mean many hours after the ethanol alcohol has been metabolized by the body.

i haven't gotten the job yet but i was offered it. i don't do drugs, and i only drink occassionally and just a few at night. i'm not a drunk or alcoholic by any means, but i've read a lot about urine showing alcohol traces from 10 hours to 4 days. i just don't know what to think. i drank last this monday (labor day) and haven't drank since. i plan to take the test on friday to give my body 3-4 days, but even so i think the best question is whether or not you can be denied work if your body shows you drank alcohol? it's not a driving job or a government related job. the reason i ask is because alcohol IS legal, so i don't understand why a company can say no you can't work cause you drink, when they could just as easily turn you down if you have a nose ring and then they would get sued if they actually told you that.
Unless you test over the legal limit for alcohol, it is unlikely that an employer will not hire you. Even if it shows trace amounts of alcohol it can be considered a negative test.
Drug tests are normally done to weed out chronic drug and alcohol abusers before they become employees. The screeners know that people drink recreationally away from work; your employer does as well.

I recently submitted a drug and alcohol urine test for my job. About two weeks before I had consumed a considerable amount of alcohol at a party. I am just wondering if it would still be detectable in my urine after this period of time because my friends have given me a variety of different answers.
well I just got back results and positive for alcohol... ugh my parents are pissed
Alcohol usually cannot be detected after 3 days.
I am wanting to know if I will show positive for alcohol in a urine test if I have taken NyQuil. Also how long does alcohol stay in your system if you drink 1 to 2 drinks a day?. How long does it take for alcohol to not be present in a urine sample?
Why post this in diabetes?

Minnesota Court Issues Ruling on Urine Testing
In an unpublished decision that was released on October 9, 2009, the Minnesota Court of Appeals looked at the equal protection clause of the Minnesota Constitution and its application to urine tests resulting from DUI charges.
The case involved an individual, who was arrested for DWI in April of 2008, at which time he submitted to a urine test that resulted in a BAC reading of 0.13. However, at the time the sample was taken from the driver, the arresting officer did not allow the driver to void his bladder before providing the sample for the test.
The result, according to a theory called “urine pooling”, was that the sample this individual provided contained his average alcohol concentration since the last time he had urinated, but not his alcohol concentration at the time of the test itself. The defense had lined up an expert to testify at this trial regarding “urine pooling,” but the Commissioner of Public Safety successfully moved the trial court to exclude the testimony, stating that because appellate courts in Minnesota have not endorsed the urine pooling theory, the expert testimony should not be admitted in trial. The trial court agreed, the testimony was excluded, this individual lost the trial, and appealed the lower court’s ruling.
